Download the studio version at our myspace page: www.myspace.com This version of the 3rd movement of Beethovens 14th Piano Sonata in C sharp minor “Moonlight” was transcribed for gutiars, bass and drums by Mathias Bernth-Johannsen and Rasmus Høll Nielsen. This clip is of their first performance, which took place at Egmont Studentergaard in Århus, Denmark on september 12, 2009. The intention was to convey the mood and character of the piano piece through the cutting-edge articulation of the distorted electric guitar, thereby fusing elements of the classical genre with the somewhat more “in your face” sound of rock/metal. The performance lasts for 11 minutes, whereby we´ve had to cut it into two parts. Please bear over with the inconvenience, and we hope it doesn´t spoil the music completely.
